The groups outlined below control the appearance of the spectrum (panadapter) display.

In the Spectrum group, Spectrum Max is the signal level at the top of the display and Min the bottom, these can be set per band and are saved. For bands where the noise floor varies, hovering a wheel mouse cursor over the console Avg button will allow the wheel to raise and lower these levels in unison per band. Keeping the Ctrl key pressed while moving the wheel will reduce or increase the display range.
A similar control may be had with the Waterfall display and the Peak button. All these are saved.
Step is the interval between horizontal lines and Align sets the position of the scale in the grid.
Averaging Time is the period over which the panadapter display is averaged. Turn Avg off on the Console to get an idea of what zero averaging does. Shorter periods update the spectrum display more often, making it more lively. At narrow spans and high fft numbers, a shorter averaging time can make the display more responsive.
Show +-offset displays the panadapter either side of a zero centre frequency for rigs which cannot provide the information needed to feed the display fully. Show Grid shows/hides the display calibration grid.

In the Refresh Rates group, Main Display FPS enables the setting of the display refresh rate. Higher rates can make the display smoother. Fill Panadapter fills the area below the spectrum level display with a selectable colour and saturation, making it more visible.
Peak Text sets the refresh rate of the row of blue 'peak signal found in the display' numbers at the lower right of the display.
CPU Meter controls how often the CPU % figure in the console is updated.

Band Plan sets red band edge markers appropriate for the region you are in, e.g. USA Region 2, Europe Region 1 etc, or for Broadcast bands.
